Antique Week in the Texas Hill Country

Antique Week is a shopping extravaganza that takes place twice a year in April and October, over two and a half weeks, primarily in and around the Texas rural communities of Round Top, Warrenton, Shelby, Fayetteville, Carmine, Burton, Oldenburg, and Rutersville. More than 100,000 people from around the world who both buy and sell, gather at dozens of show sites, a giant market place that generally features more than 60 antiques, both American and European oriented, vintage decorator and collectable items, multiple themed artworks, guns, crystalwares and glasswares, handcrafted items, architectural salvage, vintage furniture, toys, clothes, vintage automotive parts, machinery, mid-century housewares, retro collectables and a whole lot more.

Arguably one of the largest antique shopping events in the country, Antique Week has been in existence for more than 50 years, dating back to the 1960s. This is a spectacular public market, where buyers and owners of antique and collectible stores throughout the country have the opportunity to purchase items for resale in their business. Shops are established by vendors along Texas Highway 237 and beyond, showcasing various venues, which comprises of a cluster of large tents, along with barns, general stores, and dance halls. The setting of Antique Week can be described as something that is amazingly western inspired in many respects, and is inadvertently eye-catching with amazing creative displays, treasures, and wonderful finds that are bound to beckon to you.

Antique Week is more than just antique goods of the past being presented for sale; it is a spectacular display of artisanship, a diverse array of items- some of which have a story behind them, and individually run events that attract visitors, vendors, and buyers from near and far. Antique Week in the Texas Hill Country is unlike no other- a fair that brings something spectacular each and every year.
